About
An architecture practice that also writes the code.
Codezila started from a simple observation: the people who design a system should have to live with it. So the same team decides how a system should work, builds it and runs it.
Who leads the work
Muhammad Aslam
Systems architect and full-stack engineer / Team Lead
Clients come for help with the questions that are hard to undo: what stack to pick, how a system should scale and how big it needs to be. The answers then go straight into production code, in whichever language the job calls for.

How we think
Four rules we apply to every system.
Size from numbers
Traffic, data growth and latency targets decide the design. If the numbers say a monolith and one Postgres instance, that is what we recommend.
Choose boring on purpose
New technology has to earn its place. Every component you add is one your team has to run at 3 a.m.
Design for failure first
Timeouts, retries, backpressure and degraded modes go in the design, not in the postmortem.
Write the decisions down
Diagrams, decision records and runbooks stay with you, so the system can outlive the engagement.
What you get
Architecture you can hold in your hands.
An architecture engagement ends in documents your engineers can build from, whether or not we write the code.
- Stack recommendation
- What to use, what to skip and why, weighed against your team and budget.
- Architecture diagrams
- Context, containers and data flow, at a level engineers can build from.
- Capacity model
- Replicas, partitions, memory and storage for today and for the next growth stage.
- Scaling roadmap
- Which change to make at which load, so you do not pay for scale you do not have.
- Reliability targets
- SLOs, failure scenarios and the monitoring that tells you when they are at risk.
- Cost estimate
- What it should cost to run on AWS, Google Cloud or DigitalOcean.
Working together
Three ways to engage.
Architecture review
For a system that exists and is straining. We audit it, find the real bottlenecks and hand you a prioritised plan.
Design and build
For a new product. We take it from requirements to production, and stay on the hook for how it runs.
Embedded with your team
For teams that can build but need senior architecture and hands-on engineering alongside them.
